Public Transportation

The Medical Center is conveniently located on the numbers 2, 10, 40, and 50 bus routes.  The Medical District street car runs along Madison Avenue one block south of the Medical Center.

From the South

Take I-240 North to the Union Avenue (West) exit. Proceed to the first light, which is Pauline Street. Turn right onto Pauline and proceed three lights to Jefferson Avenue. The VA Medical Center will be in front of you.

• Parking in the East Lot: Turn right onto Jefferson. After the light, turn left into the Medical Center east lot.
• Parking in the West Lot: Proceed straight through the traffic light to the first driveway on the right.

From the North

Take I-240 South to the Madison Avenue exit. Turn right at the top of the exit ramp and proceed the first light, which is Pauline Street. Turn right onto Pauline and proceed one block to Jefferson Avenue. The VA Medical Center will be in front of you.

• Parking in the East Lot: Turn right onto Jefferson. After the light, turn left into the Medical Center east lot.
• Parking in the West Lot: Proceed straight through the traffic light to the first driveway on the right.

From the West

Take I-40 East toward Memphis and cross the Mississippi River into Tennessee. Take the Danny Thomas Blvd exit (1B). Turn left onto Alabama Avenue, then a slight left onto Poplar Avenue. Turn right onto North Pauline Street.

• Parking in the East Lot: Proceed to Jefferson and turn left. After the first light, turn left into the Medical Center east lot.
• Parking in the West Lot: From Pauline Street, turn left into the Medical Center driveway.
