VA Medical Center Co-Sponsor of Project Homeless Connect Stand Down on October 15th

Memphis, Tennessee – The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, is co-sponsoring the Project Homeless Connect Stand Down on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Cook Convention Center located at 255 North Main Street, Memphis, TN 38103. The event is designed to connect Veterans experiencing homelessness to housing and other resources that can assist them in meeting their daily needs.
Services to be rendered include:

Along with the Department of Veteran Affairs, other participating agencies include the Tennessee Department of Labor, Memphis Housing Authority and Housing and Community Development, Shelby County Community Service Agency, University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Hospitality Hub, Southern College of Optometry, Styles by Chance, and Empire Beauty School. Event sponsors include Community Alliance for the Homeless, Buckman Laboratories, City of Memphis Government, Shelby County Government, Baker Donaldson Technologies, Baker Donelson Law Firm, Federal Express Corporation, and Holiday Ham and Deli.
